How long does a cruise holiday last for?

Normally a cruise holiday is for seven to fourteen nights. However, our cruises are flexible and customers can book any number of days onboard any of our vessels; Topic Wave or Tropic Breeze.

What is the itinerary for a typical cruise?

CruiseMaldives.co.uk would like to give you maximum freedom in deciding itinerary of your cruise. For this reason we do not have a fixed itinerary for cruises. Depending on weather conditions and passengers’ preferences, our captains will endeavour to cater your requests. You can see a typical cruise holiday itinerary here.

What are your cruise routes?

We do not have fixed cruise routes. Our cruise routes are normally in Male’ atoll, Ari atoll, Vaavu atoll and Meemu atoll.  Click here to see a map of cruise atolls.

Do you have specific departure dates?

We do not have specific departure dates. It is your holiday so you decide when you want to depart. Our cruise boats can depart on a date that is convenient for you. If you are joining another group who is already on a cruise, we will workout the best option to take you to the cruise depending on the location of the cruise at the time of your arrival to the Maldives.

What type of holiday can I book with CruiseMaldives.co.uk?

You can book cruising holidays, snorkelling, diving, surfing and fishing holidays with our cruises. We also offer resort and cruise combined holidays.

How many people should we have in our group for a cruise to depart?

Our cruise boats are small and can cater from one to twelve people. Tropic Wave can accommodate one to seven people (passengers) and Tropic Breeze can accommodate one to twelve people (passengers). If there are more people in your group we can offer a third party vessel from our partners. There is no minimum number for a cruise to depart as long as you are willing to pay the minimum amount for departures. This varies from cruise boat to boat and the time period.

Can I book one of your cruise boats exclusively?

Of course, our cruise yachts are very ideal for exclusive hiring for holidays with your family or with friends. Once you hire on an exclusive basis we would never add any other passenger to your group. This means you will be cruising with either yourself, your partner, family or friends.

I want a honeymoon cruise for myself and my partner. Can you do that?

Sure we can. Tropic Wave or Tropic Breeze can be hired for honeymoon holidays. You can request what you would like to do during your stay such as cruising, snorkelling, dining on a sandbank, or having sunset dinners etc…, our crew will be at your service to make your special occasion memorable.

Can I book a combined resort/cruise holiday?

You can book cruising holidays, snorkelling, diving, surfing and fishing holidays with our cruises. We also offer resort and cruise combined holidays.

Which airport will I be arriving?

If you are flying to Maldives, you are most likely to be landing on Male’ International Airport (MLE) on the Hululhe island. This airport is a few minutes by boat from the country capital, Male’ and well connected with international flights from Europe, Asia, America and Middle East.

Will there be someone to meet on my arrival at the airport?

Yes, upon arrival our crew or customer manager will greet you at the airport. This service is provided free of charge. Our crew will take you to our cruise boat and you will be heading on your journey through Maldives.  The crew will also take you to the airport at the end of your cruise holiday.

Do you offer flights and insurance?

No. At the minute we do not offer flights or insurance. You can book flights with ATOL protected flight providers. We strongly recommend taking comprehensive insurance cover from a reputable provider before you travel. Competitively priced flights are on offer in the following websites;

What happens if I cancel my cruise holiday?

Details of cancellation and refund policy are outlined in our terms and are available on our Terms and Conditions page.  You should read our Terms and Conditions before you book your holiday. Third party vessels and resorts holiday packages have different terms.

How much drinking water is provided in cruises?

We provide two bottles (about three litres) of mineral water per person per day for drinking. If you want more water you can always purchase it from the boat bar. If it is a third party boat their operator terms may apply.

I like my drinks, are drinks available onboard?

Our boats stock alcohol and soft drinks. Soft drinks, beer and wine can be purchased from the boat bar. If you would like any specific special brand of drink to be available during your cruise please request while you are booking your holiday. We will let you know if it can be made available.

What other drinks are available?

Our cruise boats serve complimentary coffee and tea on your request.

Does the boat cruise at night?

No. Our cruise boats do not cruise after 1730 hrs for safety and security reasons. The cruise boats anchor in a safe harbour or lagoon during the nights.

Who are in the crew?

Our boats are manned with a certified captain who will be in charge of the boat, a deck hand, a chef who prepares and looks after your meal requirements and a guide depending on the type of cruise. Our captains are knowledgeable and will be at hand to provide assistance.

How many meals are served?

Three meals are served daily. Cooked breakfast, lunch and dinner are served. The chef will try to vary the meals served to cater for different tastes. The meals include combination of fresh fish, meat, vegetables and fruits.

I am a vegetarian. Can I have vegetarian food?

Yes. If you would like vegetarian meals to be served during your stay please request while you book your holiday.

I have a child. Can I take my child with me?

Yes. We allow children over two years onboard our cruises. Children under two years are restricted on safety grounds.
